From the moment the architect Ligorio created this place for Cardinal Ippolito II d'Este in the 16th century, the history of the gardens changed forever. Walking in the Villa evokes a thousand suggestions, the predominant element is Water. Spouts, fountains, deep fishponds, where to catch fish to serve at the famous banquets of the Cardinal of Ferrara and then the music of the Hydraulic Organ, in memory of the Este family's passion for this universal art.
